We love making Bolognese sauce because you can add in whatever veggies you like. It’s a great way to use up what’s in the fridge whilst loading your meal with all the good stuff! For a delicious, nutritious and tasty plant-based meal, give this one a go.

What You’ll Need:
Plant Nation Parsley & Thyme Beef Style Burgers
Gluten Free Fettucine
Bolognese Pasta Sauce
1 Carrot, grated
1 Celery Stalk, chopped
1 Zucchini, chopped
1 Capsicum, chopped
1 Tbs Mixed Herbs
¼ Cup Red Wine (optional)
Basil, to serve
Olive Oil
Salt & Pepper to taste

What You Need To Do:
Bring a non-stick pan to medium heat, lightly oil, add the beef burgers and crumble into mince using the end of a spatula. Stir through all the chopped vegetables and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add the grated carrot and mixed herbs, cook for a further 2 minutes. Once all mixed together, add the pasta sauce, red wine, salt and pepper and turn the heat down to low, simmer for 15 minutes. While the sauce is simmering, bring a pot of water to the boil and cook pasta according to packet instructions. Serve pasta into bowls, top with lots of sauce and basil, enjoy!

Handy tip:
After adding the sauce, pour the red wine into the empty sauce jar first, give it a good shake and then add the wine into the pan. If you don’t want to use red wine, you can also do this with a small splash of water. A simple and effective way to ensure all the sauce is used and not wasted! 😊
